Refreshed Writer

Holy cow, look what the cat dragged in. Anyone miss me? I do apologize for being gone for the past couple of months. Life has been one huge blur. Since the last time I was here, I’ve gotten my son graduated from high school and at a Boy Scout camp to work for the summer. My daughter tried out for cheerleader and made it, and I sent my son and sister-in-law off to Disney World for a week. I’m wore out.
The thing is that I really did need a break. I’ve still been ghostwriting, but as far as my blogs and just about everything else writing related, I put it all on the back burner. Between the ghostwriting, my family, and my daytime job, all I wanted to do was sleep. Well all that is about to change. I will have tons more time on my hands come next Friday. I’m very happy to announce that as of 2pm, June 11th, I will become a full time writer.
That’s right boys and girls, I will no longer be working in the outside world, and will have more time to devote to both my family and my writing. Plus, with my son being gone for most of the summer, I’ll have more time to spend with my daughter. She’s spent most of her life in her big brother’s shadow, and now it’s her time to come out and shine.
I have been focusing my brain on other forms of creativity. I spent a lot of time coloring. Yes, you read that right, coloring. I’ve found several online sites where you can download tons of coloring pages. Ironically, many of these sites were directed at adults. Nothing inappropriate, but pictures that required a lot of thought. I’ve found several sites that offer free Mandala coloring pages. There’s just something about adding vibrant colors to a colorless page that totally relaxes my mind.
But what really set things off for me was my friend, Mark Sierra. I had a little discussion with him the other night, about getting our blogs up and running again, and the writing process as a whole. It was from this conversation that I began to get the itch to get back to work and really make something of my sites. I found the drive to put word to paper once again, and make vivid images through these words.
With more time on my hands, I’m going to have more time to write about the things I want to share. I’ll be able to post more writing prompts for my fellow writers, and I’ll be able to release all the things I’ve had to suppress for the past couple of months. It’s time to get back to the things that bring me joy. My family and my love of writing.

Welcome back! I’m glad you’re blogging again - firstly, because I like to read what you write, and secondly, because I need the inspiration, lol…
