A Pickled Ornament Story

Since day one, I’ve always promised if anyone had written anything from my prompts, and let me know about it, I’d be more than happy to pass the story on to the rest of the world. Well, I’m about to make good on my promise. Last year, I posted a list of ideas for Writing Prompts For December. And though nobody did anything with it last year, someone finally wrote something from one of the prompts.
The third prompt on the list was “Write a short play about a day in the life of a Christmas ornament”. I thought it was kind of a cool idea, but what I read earlier today far surpassed my ideas. A totally cool chic from Philly-Heather-took my little idea and ran with it. She claims to not be a great “creative” writer, but I completely disagree. I think she did a fantastic job.
So, without further ado, I give you “What a Pickle” by Heather from Anything But Grey. Please check her out and tell her The Prompt Writer sent you. ![]()

Thanks so much - you didn’t have to do that! I’m getting some interesting responses to the post and all I can say is thanks for the great prompt - I can’t wait to write on a few more of them

No, thank you. That story went way beyond what I’d ever dreamed of when I came up with that prompt. It was awesome, and I really want a pickle Christmas ornament now. LOL
